Chloe has a communication device Accent and she uses some sign language and gestures to communicate. She had tortecolis but was mostly corrected with therapy. She has had 3 surgeries for strabismus, starting before she was 2. Peaceful, happy, easy going, quiet, never demanding, sweet, and kind.

She will still occasionally jump up and dance or cheer or reach something up high, but not often or for very long. A squeaky door will send her into screams for a while. She loves music and can play literally any instrument she picks up. She was a breech delivery and for months had her legs drawn up to her chest and had her arms covering her eyes…she still loves that position! She has had 3 surgeries for strabismus, starting before she was 2. If anyone is very sad, very angry, very excited, etc, she might scream and cry. Cello is her main instrument. She has very low functioning bowels. She met all milestones very late. Her eyes are blue and the doctor has said she lacks pigment in them, making her very sensitive to light. Given the context and patience, others can understand, too. She is addicted to YouTube—she just searches YouTube or Google for whatever it is she wants to watch. She is smart and understands everything you say to her, but she loves baby toys and would love people to underestimate her abilities. Chloe has a communication device Accent and she uses some sign language and gestures to communicate. We no longer thicken liquids, but she still sometimes aspirates; and she just does not drink much! She did walk slowly, awkwardly, amazingly , but as she neared puberty, her muscles and joints got tighter and tighter until it was just too laborious to be upright. She used to just silently stare up into the eyes of the person digging around her arm looking for a good vein to draw from. She can read and she can spout out info, but inferring or applying that info is a struggle. Peaceful, happy, easy going, quiet, never demanding, sweet, and kind. She is mostly nonverbal but has a handful of words we understand. She plays beautifully by ear, but reads music, too. She loves to play in her room in the dark. Today she crawls in her bedroom and uses her wheelchair everywhere else. She still cries her eyes out if she hears someone else crying…so sympathetic! She loves animals and likes to volunteer at the animal shelter. She is a cheerleader and cheers with a local team for athletes with disabilities and loves it.

She is headed to YouTube—she official circles YouTube or Google for whatever it is hadds turns to hand. And she hadds Moreover sensitive to nearly.
